Sports Awards In Haryana
Bhim Award
Bhim Award is the highest award of the State Government for the outstanding players of the Haryana. The award is given to 11 sports persons of the state; 5 in individual events, 3 in team events and 2 to Paralympics sports persons and for mentally challenged sports persons. According to the new sports policy 2015, the award will be given once in life to sports persons of Haryana state based on previous 4 years achievements. The award comprises of cash award of 2 lakh and Bhim Statue and a blazer is also provided.
Eklavya Award
On the pattern of Bhim Award for senior players, state award for the junior players will be instituted. The awards will be given every year to 5 junior sports persons of the state; 3 in individual events and 2 in team events.
